I am a peasant painter
who wrestles with Mother Nature.
She wakes me each morning
showing her nakedness.
I capture her green eyes,
her brown hair, her passionate heart
that dances with the animals.
While my brush blossoms
to the harmonious sounds of her beauty,
I keep her safe inside me.
She notices each day
if I am looking for her
and ever so happy when I find her.
She laughs and smiles
inside each moment of space and time,
offering her interwoven friendship
of saintly purpose. She is always there,
nestled with this tormented tree
that captures her.
While we play together,
she holds back the wind and rain for me.
